Carlos Goins

Carlos Eugene Goins, 75, was called home to Heaven on Thursday Sept. 22, 2016. Mr. Goins was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Redemption Point Church, in Chattanooga. Mr. Goins was deep rooted in his faith and love for his family. Mr. Goins was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Edna Goins; brothers son, Carlos Wayne Goins; brothers, W.A. Goins and Bobby Goins; sister, Virginia Hicks. Survivors include daughter, Pam "Sissy"(Garry) Ward; and a son, Neil Goins; brothers, David, Edward, Jimmy, Ronnie and Lonnie Goins; and sisters, Carolyn Hickman and Hazel Qualls; four grandchildren, Michael Smolick, Blake and Brooke Ward and Brianna Goins; as well as eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at 1 p.m., in the chapel, with Raymond Hodge and Dennis Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Sullins Cemetery, in Athens, Tenn.
