Sarah Zeanah

Sarah Rose Eaton Zeanah Sarah Rose Zeanah, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, mother, Bettye J. Rose; father, Robert C. Eaton, Sr.; grandparents, Grover and Willie Rose, and Ely and Essie Eaton. She was a graduate of Chattanooga High School. She was previously employed by Chattanooga News Free Press, and Standard Publishing Co. in McMinnville, Tenn., where she lived for several years. She retired from Cigna Healthcare. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, where she taught the Christian Friendship Sunday School class, was a former member of the chancel choir, UMW member. Sarahs interests included painting, and studying Gods Word. She had become a prayer warrior because of Gods gracious forgiveness of her sins. Survivors are her son, Michael Zeanah and wife Donna; daughter, Katy Smith and her husband, Barry; grandchildren, Daniel Shawn McDaniel, Caren Elizabeth Green and husband, Heath, and Casey Dawn Hamby and her husband, Jacob; three precious great-granddaughters, Piper Green, Lily and Iris Hamby; four special cousins and their spouses. Visitation will be in St. John United Methodist Church, today, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Rev. Carl Blackburn and the Rev. Tommy Nesser, will conduct the service at 11:30 a.m., in the church. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. John United Methodist Church.
