Lisa Cabrera

Lisa "Taz" Cabrera, 44, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was a member of Freedom Community Church in Dalton, Ga. Lisa had worked as a Caregiver for most of her life and truly enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona and the Grand Canyon and loved playing board games with friends and family. She was a loving and devoted daughter and wife that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Evett, Jr. and Louise Grace Wallace. Survivors include her loving husband of more than 13 years, Adolfo Cabrera; brothers, Randy Evett and Larry Wayne Evett, all of Rossville, Ga.; sister, Kathy Vann, of Bryant, Ala.; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel, with Pastor Edgar Ricon officiating. Burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. EST in Ami Cemetery in Menlo, Ga. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. today, all day Thursday, and prior to the service on Friday, at the funeral home.
