Jerry Sparks Sr.

Jerry Lee Sparks, Sr., 59, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, in a local hospital. He attended Howard High School and was a member of Pneuma Christian Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleaven "Clea" and Lora "Newie" Sparks. Survivors include his loving wife, Freddie Marie Sparks; children, Shakira Hawkins, LaJeffrey (Vanessa) Sparks, Jerry Sparks, Jr., Jeremy Sparks, all of Chattanooga, Timothy (Kristina) Jordan, John Jordan, and Tommy Jordan, all of Birmingham, Ala.; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Diane (Allen) Stokes, of Montgomery, Ala.; special aunt, Lula Killebrew; nephew, Jarrod Stokes; niece, Jordan Stokes, both of Montgomery, Ala.; devoted friends, Kenneth Williams, Ernest "TEE" Shipley, and Ace Hunt; a host of aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, with the funeral to follow at noon, with Luther Hill, Jr. as the eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
