Joseph Walls

Joseph Michael Walls, age 68, of East Ridge, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, in a local health care facility. He was born Sept. 20, 1948, in Jackson, Tenn., to the late John and Doris Walls. Mr. Walls was a retired respiratory therapist. His brother, Steve Walls preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughter, Christy Walls; his step-daughter, Shannon (Jeff) Stevens; three grandchildren, Caleb Walls, Ashley Stevens, and Courtney Stevens; one great-granddaughter, Asher Clayton, all of Chickamauga; and nephew, Ryan Walls, of Signal Mountain. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT at the East Chapel. Additional visitation will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. CDT, at George A. Smith Funeral Home, 1544 South Highland Ave., Jackson, TN 38301 (731) 423-2212. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. CDT Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3360 North Highland Ave., Jackson, TN 38305.
