Gene Harbour

RINGGOLD — Talmon “Gene” Eugene Harbour, 66, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, April 14, 2017. A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served during Vietnam, a former employee of Shaw Industries where he worked for 18 years and was a member of Cross Connection Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmon Brown and Selma Louise Scoggins Harbour. He is survived by his loving wife, Joy Sue Walker Harbour, of Ringgold, Ga.; two sons, Chad Harbour of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Nick (Lorri) Harbour Millwood, of Ringgold, Ga.; two sisters, Loise Carlton and Joyce Tindell, both of Rock Spring, Ga.; two brothers, Dean Harbour, of Rossville, Ga., and Gary Harbour, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joey Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Ga.
