RINGGOLD — Norma Jean “Jeanie” Dietz, 91, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and has lived on Dietz Road for the past 60 years. She was a member of the Clearview Baptist Church and attended the Faith Sunday school class and taught the Beginners Sunday School class for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, father, L. T. Grant Sr., and mother Gladys Hughes Grant, and her best friend, Burnease Huskey. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, O. C. Dietz; two daughters, Sherri Germann, Hixson, Tenn., and Reita Winters, Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Traci West, East Ridge and Kaci Clayton, Chattanooga and three great-grandchildren, Jordan West, Skye and Meg Clayton; and several nieces and nephews. The body will lie-in-state at the church from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Interment will be in the Dietz Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
