Patsy Buckner

Patsy Ruth Walker Buckner, 83, of Ooltewah, passed away on Wednesday evening, Aug. 2, 2017, at her home. Born on Aug. 9, 1933, to the late Tom and Margaret Walker, she spent a majority of her life in Hamilton and McMinn Counties and was of the Church of God faith. She was a mother to many and enjoyed spending time with her family and most of all loved God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Avery “Buck” Buckner Sr.; son, Lewis Avery Buckner Jr.; brothers, Willie Walker and Clyde “J.L.” Walker; great-grandson, Caleb Jamerson; special niece, Barbara Ham; sons–in-law, Billy Jamerson and Walter Weeks. Survivors include daughters and spouses, Debbie and Ed Weeks, of Etowah, Janie Jamerson, of Etowah, Sherleen and Bill Tucker, of Ooltewah, and Terry and Mike Greene, of Riceville; sons and spouses Ronnie and Rhonda Buckner, of Cleveland, Tommy and Christine Buckner, of Ooltewah, and Perry and Maria Buckner; daughter-in-law, Traci Buckner, of Cleveland; and sister-in-law, Wilma Walker, of Ooltewah; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life and homegoing for Patsy Buckner will be held at 7 p.m. today, Aug. 5, 2017, in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Jason Ollis officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at Conasauga Cemetery with Edward Weeks, Hoyt Jamerson, Scott Jamerson, Dusty Greene, Joe Buckner, and Jason Tucker serving as pallbearers; and Michael Buckner, Samuel Buckner, and Lucas Weeks serving as honorary pallbearers.
