Maxine Leonard

Maxine A. Leonard, 92, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 15, 2017. She graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1943 and served on every reunion committee. She was a 73 year member of Northside Baptist Church and most recently Stuart Heights Baptist Church. She also attended U.C., U.T.K., U.T. Medical School in Memphis. She worked as a travel agent for 29 years at the National Automobile Association (NAA), and worked at the Tivoli Theater for 44 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Leonard; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. James K. Allen. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Mike Leonard and Andrew Leonard, both of Chattanooga; daughter, Shirley Porter (Tom), of Summerland Key, Fla.; grandson, Kris Kelly, of Kingwood, Texas; sister, Faye Duncan (Robert S.), of Coralville, Iowa; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Gary Akins officiating.
