Gary Carlton

WHITWELL — Gary Lebron Carlton, 71, of Suck Creek Community, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Lillie Mae Carlton; brother, James “Buddy” Carlton; sister, Betty Jo Carlton & Marjorie Sue Shrum; nephew, Barry Stamey. Mr. Carlton was a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from Harry J. Welchel Company. He served in the National Guard. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 46 years, Marie Griffith Carlton; two sisters, Ann (Doug) Bailey, Johnnie Ruth (Glen) Stamey; brother, Darryl (Sharon) Carlton; his niece, Sheliah (Greg) Lawson which he thought of as another sister; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 2 to 8 p.m., CST, today, 8/23/2017. Funeral services will be noon, CST, tomorrow, 8/24/2017 in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Lusk Cemetery with a Masonic Service.
