Betty Durham

Betty File Durham, 87, of Hixson, Tenn., passed away on Dec. 15, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty was an avid quilter, seamstress and dog lover. She was a member of Hixson United Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Birdie File; husband, Willard E. Durham and aunt, Louise Ashby. She is survived by her children, Richard (Janet) Durham, Deborah (Richard) Harvey and Sandra (Stephen) Moore; grandchildren, Angela Seibers, Christopher Harvey, Blake Moore, Brett Moore, Richard Lance Durham and Ashlyn Moore and great-grandchild, Gavin Seibers. A special thanks to Ruth Davis, a friend for life and special caregiver and a special thanks to Brannon Cooper at Hearth Hospice. A visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, from noon to 2 p.m. with a funeral service following immediately after at 2 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
