Lavern Ruth-Laurie

ESTILL SPRINGS — Lavern “ Bubbie” Ruth, 64, formerly of Jasper, Tenn., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman W. “June” and Fannie Kay. Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted husband, Anthony F. Ruth-Laurie Jr.; loving children, Alisha (Lisa) Miller and Eric (Jessica) Ruth; siblings, Kenny (Dawn) Ruth, Shelia Graves, Kathy (Arnold) Graham, Pam (Kim) Morrison, Lamar (Denise) Ruth; grandchildren, Kaylin Rose, Killian, Pheobe, Annora, Torrin, Katerina, Colin; former wife and partner, Patricia D. Ruth. He had a million dollar smile, and an infectious laugh. He loved and supported his family in every path they chose to travel. He never met a stranger, and was always giving. He loved gardening and flowers and all type of music. He will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. A celebration of life will be 4 p.m. CST, Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Randy Jackson officiating.
