Dora Marie Brock

LaFAYETTE — Dora Marie Brock, 69, took her heavenly flight Dec. 15, 2017. Dora was a lifelong resident of the area and of the Church of God faith. Dora attended the Everlasting Covenant Church in Tunnel Hill where she taught the young children’s Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Brock had a compassionate heart by sponsoring a child in India and faithfully donating to the Firefighter’s Association, she also served a church Treasury. Dora was preceded in death by parents, Wallace and Margaret Farmer; husband, Carlos Brock Sr.; daughter, Angela Lemmons; brothers, Wallace Farmer Jr. and William Farmer. Survivors include children, Carlos Brock Jr., Pamela Brock, Melissa Manley, Timothy Brock, Adam Brock (Amanda), Michael Brock (Clory), Carla Broadrick (Tyler) and Patrick Brock; siblings, Callie “Belle” Swaney, Raymond Farmer (Ann), Robert Farmer, Jennie Gordy (Steve) and Jack Farmer; 26 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and extended church family. Funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Brock’s life will be Tuesday Dec. 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Carl Jackson officiating burial will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Brock.
