Harvey Jenkins

David “Harvey” Jenkins, 55, of East Ridge, Tenn., passed away on Dec. 15, 2017. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a hard worker and he loved his family. He loved his yard and kept it well groomed. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Pauline Jenkins; and a brother, Tommy Jenkins. Left behind to cherish Harvey’s memory are his sisters, Lee Etta (Spike Hammitt) Jenkins; Jarita (Tony) Norman; Becky Hutcheson; all of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Paulette (Eddie) Sims; Trenton, Ga., a nephew, Cody Sims; and a niece, Marissa Hutcheson; great-nieces and nephew, Lauren; Sarah; and Connor Sims, and his beloved cat, Charlie. A Celebration of Harvey’s life will be held graveside on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at the Mountain View Cemetery in Benton, Tenn., at 1 p.m., with Pastor Laverle Coats officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday Dec. 19, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
