IDER — Lizzie Louise Watkins, 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Pruitt Health Care, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Funeral services are today at noon with Bro. Paul King officiating. Burial will follow in Town Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time today. Survivors include sons, Roger Watkins (Teresa), Steve Watkins (Debbie), Jeff Watkins (Charline); grandchildren, Melanie Garlin (Tim), Todd Watkins (Amy), Megan Henderson (Jonathan), Katie Griffin (Jared), Jason Watkins (Maggie), Olivia Watkins; great-grandchildren, Cole, Will and Kash Watkins, Emma, Zane, Cora and Tate Williams, Blake and Sawyer Henderson, Lily Kate, Chandler and Jeremiah Griffin, Blake and Mitchell Rodriguez; sister, Dorothy Sizemore (Doug). Mrs. Watkins was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and had worked at Buster Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Lizzie Louisa Adams Rogers, husband, Paul Watkins, brothers, Talley, Eldon, S. A., Paul and John Rogers.
