June Nentwig
Marion Nentwig, 88, Signal Mountain, Tenn., took the hand of Jesus on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017.
She graduated from Swarthmore College with a master's degree in English literature. She was active in many local organizations, including Church Women United, the local NAACP and very engaged in the Democratic Party.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Marion was predeceased by her parents; husband, Klaus Peter Nentwig; daughter, Susanne Adelheid "Heidi" Nentwig McClure.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Dedra) Nentwig; grandsons, Andrew (Jessye) Nentwig and Ryan (Katie) Kennedy; great-granddaughter, Elena Kennedy; brothers, Peter and Donald Harkness; several nephews and a niece.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 12, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, on Signal Mountain, in the Parrish Hall at 2 p.m. Rev. Derrick Hill will conduct a memorial service at the church in the chapel at 3 p.m.
