Sharon Moore

Sharon Denise Moore, 61, departed this life Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, in Shelbyville, Tenn. She was born Aug. 23, 1955, in Chattanooga to the union of the late William H. and Carrie Hicks. At an early age, she joined Carter Street Baptist Church. Later, she joined Wesley Chapel Christian Community Church, where she served in various capacities for 40 years. She was employed by Life Touch of Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her father, William Horace Hicks; mother, Carrie Hicks; father-in-law, Alexander Moore Sr.; mother-in-law, Alma Jo Smith; brothers, Larry Hicks, William R. Hicks, and Wendell Hicks; brother-in-law, Albert Moore; sisters, Mary E. Smith and Dorothy J. Ramsey. She leaves to mourn her memory, a devoted husband, Alexander Moore Jr.; loving daughter, Alicia Moore; her pride and joy granddaughter, Amya Anderson, all of Chattanooga; brother, Michael (Peggie) Hicks, of St. Paul, Minn.; brother-in-law, Calvin Moore, of Chattanooga; sister, Beverly (Richard) Moon; sister-in-law, Leslie Hawkins, Sharon Smith, Darwin Smith, Brenda Smith, Valerie Penn, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; devoted friends, Tammy Parker and Leslie Tatum.
