James Pickett
EVENSVILLE — James A. Pickett, 88, passed away on Feb. 16, 2017 at Erlanger Hospital.
James was a longtime resident of Rhea County and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and he loved fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Hettie Pickett; one brother, Robert Pickett; a sister, a daughter, Sherry Pickett Hughes.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Pickett, of Evensville, Tenn.; two children, Cheryl Kathy Pickett, of Scottsville, Ky., and Charlene Kimberly Pickett, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a special nephew, Kenneth Shelton, of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Linda Travis, of Dayton; one brother, David Pickett, of Macon, Ga.; a grandson, Jason Hughes; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be today, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home.
Interment: Smyrna Cemetery.
