Ellen’s husband, Captain Richard Lull Cochrane (Ret., US Navy), preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1997. Ellen attended Girls Preparatory School and Agnes Scott College, and received her degree in interior design from Parsons School of Art in New York City. She worked as an interior designer in New York City and Chattanooga before starting a family and becoming a homemaker. She was a member of the Winchester Church of God, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many. Ellen is survived by daughters, Charlotte C. Hart (Ron), of Atlanta, Ellen Cochrane, of Alexandria, Va., and Katharine C. Hart, of Arlington, Va.; son, Richard L. Cochrane (Julie), of New York City; grandchildren, Hastings, Christine, Alice and Ellen; and great-grandchildren, Weston and Ashlyn.
