Darla Ferrell

Darla M. Russell Ferrell, 50, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017. She was employed as a nurse at Chattanooga Kidney Center on Highway 58. She was of Baptist faith and a member of Rose of Sharon. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carla Y. Russell and grandmother, Wilma M. Russell. Survivors include her children, Ebony Ferrell and Deric Poole, both of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Daral Boykin, of Atlanta; mother, Shannon Westmoreland; father, William M. Russell; brothers, W. Micah Russell, Kibwe Parks, all of Chattanooga; Anthony Davis, Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Regina Cousin, of Atlanta, Shirley Russell, Chattanooga, Veronica Russell, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Interment – Forest Hills Cemetery. The body will lie-in-state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
