HIGDON — Garlton Burlton Higdon Sr., 79, passed away Feb. 23, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Higdon Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oval and Gracie Higdon; sisters, Lavita Higdon and Patricia Bryant; brothers, Aurthur Tinker and Lendon Higdon. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Martha Ann Higdon; children, Rachel (Jimmie) Adams, Garlton (Sandra) Higdon Jr.; Sylvia Smith, Peggy (Denny) Davis; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorthia (Harold) Smith, Earline Pritchett, Levon “Pan” Higdon, Leedell (Jan) Higdon, and Lebron Higdon, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EST Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Edwin Spurgeon, Brother Oron Whitley, and Brother Edward Atchley officiating.
