LaFAYETTE — George "Buster" Wade Buchanan, 67, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2017. He was a team truck driver for more than 20 years. Buster enjoyed spending his free time camping, wood working, storytelling, car shows, and playing with the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Wade Buchanan; parents, George Buchanan and Emma Scott Buchanan. Survivors are his loving wife of 44 years, Vickie “Lynn” Elane Buchanan; daughters, Amy (Jay) Bradley, of Chickamauga and Crystle (Bobby) Cribb, of Ringgold; sister, Diane (Holbert) Pell; and brother, Jim Buchanan, all of LaFayette; grandchildren, Kalen (Clair) Bradley, Landen Bradley, Trey Cribb, Taylor Cribb, Grace Cribb, and Gunner Cribb; and several nieces and nephews. A life celebration will be Friday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. and will be held at Rocky Mountain Recreation (At The Point Pavilion) 4054 Big Texas Valley Rd NW, Rome, Ga., 30165. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
