Jorena Joyner

ROCK SPRING — Jorena Shepherd Joyner, 68, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She was the daughter of the late William Shepherd and Emma Polk Shepherd. JoRena was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and attended Oakwood Baptist Church. Survived by her devoted and loving husband of 47 years, Larry Joyner, of Rock Spring; daughter, Lindsey (Mac) McClure; sons, Greg (Joy) Joyner and Shannon Joyner, all of Rock Spring; grandchildren, Blake Joyner, Brooke Joyner, Paxton McClure, Maya Joyner, Asa McClure, and Robee Joyner; sisters, ReGena Demere and Billie Schnider, both of Macon, Ga., and DeAnn Borders, of Byron, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Celebration of life service will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 381 Wood Station Road, Rock Spring, GA 30739 with Pastor Frank Kelley officiating. Private interment in Rock Spring Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 21 at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
