Arlon Lanier

ROSSVILLE — Arlon Junior Lanier, 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2017. He was a member of the Lakeview Wesleyan Church. Arlon was a former mechanic, loved working on cars and was a tow truck driver in the Chattanooga area for many years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lenard and Ella Lanier; one daughter, Angela Michelle Lanier; three sisters; one brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carrie Sue Lanier; children, Rhonda (Terry) Sissom, of Crandall, Ga., Phillip Lanier, of Rossville, Ga.; four sisters, Betty Hammontree, Frankie Lanier, Linda Mooneyhan and Janette Lands; one brother, Alfred Eugene Lanier; four grandchildren, Brandon Lamb, Brittany Hanks, Savannah Lanier and Hunter Lanier; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends today, July 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 29, up to hour of service at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Myron Banther, Rev. Carson Scarbrough and Rev. James Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Burning Bush Cemetery.
