Thelma Cannon

Thelma Jean Cannon, 80, passed away on July 23, 2017, in Murfreesboro, Tenn. She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Truman and Nellie Taylor, of Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roy Lamar Cannon. Mrs. Cannon was retired from the Tennessee Walking Horse Owner’s Association after 20 years of service. Mrs. Cannon is survived by her daughters, Angela Cannon Hayes (Michael), and Tara Adriene Cannon; and son, Roy Gregory Cannon, all of Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be Monday, July 31, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. John Hinkle Jr. and Rev. Bobby Harding officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
