Billy Rankin

WHITESIDE — Rev. Billy Hubert Rankin, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017. He was retired from U.S. Pipe after 30 years of service, then serving as a pastor at New Bethel Church of God in Bryant, Ala., for more than 10 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Genoma Dagnan Rankin; son, Tracy Brent Baggett; two brothers; three sisters; Patrica Ann Massengale; Claudia Melita Jones. Surviving include his loving wife, Patsy Rankin, of Whiteside, Tenn.; daughter, Lisa (James Boydston) White, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; son, Billy Joe (Christina) Rankin, of Whitwell, Tenn.; Carolyn Leah (Danny) Cantrell, of Whiteside, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. CT Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Whiteside Church of God with Pastor Doug Ramsey and Pastor Glen Key officiating. Interment will follow in Hooker Cemetery.
