Charles Meeks

LaFAYETTE — Charles Edward Meeks, 67, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017. He was born in Coalmont, Tenn., to the late Jesse Meeks and Henry Campbell Meeks. Charles was an avid coon hunter and skilled cabinet maker. Survivors are his loving wife of 44 years, Margie Lee Meeks, of LaFayette; daughters, Tinamarie Hamilton of Calif., Charlee Ann Meeks, of LaFayette, and Carrie Lynn Meeks, of Calhoun, Ga.; sons, Shaun Bevins, of Texas, Dondi Anderson, of Resaca, Ga., Elvis Locke and Jimmy Locke, both of Ringgold; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Willie Mae Nunley, of Flat Branch, Tenn., and Carlene Wiltz, of New Hampshire; brother, Paul Meeks, of Murfreesboro, Tenn; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor William Meeks officiating. No interment. Visitation at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, from noon until time of service. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
