Mildred Finger

MARYVILLE — Mildred O. Finger, 93, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017. She was a daughter of the late Cyrus and Mary Elizabeth Large. She grew up in Tazewell, Tenn. Mildred was preceded in death by three brothers, Vandell, Overett, and Costal Large; eight sisters, Zula, Lois, Thelma, Gladys, Atlee, Fae, Martha, and Elnora. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, William "Bill" Finger; three children, Billy (Nancy), of Huntingdon, Tenn., Rick (Patsy), of Knoxville, and Meleny (John) Boring, of Maryville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Gregg (Jessica), of Hixson, Kara, of Knoxville, and George Boring, of Maryville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Maddox Finger, of Hixson; foster grandchild, Danny Helton, of Dandridge, Tenn.; sister, Eunice Derreberry, of Tazewell, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens (3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701), with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., with Chaplain Carl Ford officiating.
