Jerry Tolbert

ROSSVILLE — Jerry B. Tolbert, 79, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Henry C. Tolbert Sr.; one son, Duane Tolbert; sisters, LaNelle Cauthen and Ordette Quarles; and brothers, Henry and Ray Tolbert. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Vera Earlene Tolbert; daughters, Renee Smith and Vicki Logston; sons, Tony and Phillip Tolbert; stepsons, Jamie and Lenn Card; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, June 30, 2017, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Mike Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. today and prior to the service on Friday. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Fort Oglethorpe.
