Arthur “Cool Red” Rogers, 77, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, and loving husband and father. Mr. Rogers retired from Van Heusen, after 40 years of service. Cool Red, was a dog lover. He was preceded in death by his parents, father, A. D. Rogers, mother, Ruth Jones Rogers. Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 55 years, Emma “Adeline” Rogers; daughter, Theresa “Dan” Kilgore, Athens, Tenn.; sons, Robert “Cyndie” Rogers, Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., Artie Rogers, Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Harry Rogers, Ooltewah, Tenn., Jerry Rogers, Chattanooga; sister, Pat Burleson, Chattanooga; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be today, March 20, 2017, at 3 p.m. in Harrison Cemetery, with Minister Bill Mathis officiating. There will be no visitation or service.
