Katherine Denton

Katherine P. Denton, 83, of Chattanooga, died Friday, March 17, 2017, in a local health care facility. Mrs. Denton was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was the wife of the late Fred Denton. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ann McAlister and Willa Dean Burns and a brother, Alvin Burns. She retired from Olan Mills with 35 years of service. She was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Ramsey; son, Dennis Denton; granddaughter, Brandy Youngblood; two great-granddaughters, Brylee and Avery Youngblood; two sisters, Becky Elsea and Martha Tipton; brother, Donnie Burns; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Shirley officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service hour Monday.
