Patricia “Pat” Cholota, 60, passed away, Sunday, March 19, 2017. She was a native of Savannah, Ga., but lived in the Chattanooga area for over 40 years. Pat was of the Christian faith. She retired from the Hamilton County Department of Education working within Food Services, where she was employed for over 15 years. She enjoyed time with family, traveling to the beach, motorcycle rides with her husband and most of all. Sunday dinners with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. Stewart and Peggy Culver Stewart; sister, Peggy Goodwin. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Edward “Ed” Cholota; sons, Michael (Chelsea) Cholota, Daniel (Nicole) Cholota; daughters, Christy (Rusty) Moore, Elizabeth (Mike) Doss; brothers, Tim Stewart, Joe Stewart, Andy Stewart; sister Kathy Masengale; seven grandchildren, Lance, Taylor, Corbin, Annalee, Jackson, Mason, Addi; grandpups (Max and Bella); several nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Madlyn Wine. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Turner Funeral Home, with Rev. Cliff Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff, especially the nurses, at Tennessee Oncology, as well as the many thoughts and prayers received by family and friends.
