Tommy Lee Cox, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, in a local hospital. Mr. Cox was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the owner of Cox Motor Company. He attended Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, boating and going to church. His parents, T.J. and Velma Cox preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Richard (Renee) Cox, Ronnie (Carolyn) Cox, Brenda (Lamar) Freeman, and Bobby (Linda) Cox; sister, Patsy Croft; brothers, Paul Cox, Michael (Denise) Cox, and Terry (Jodi) Cox; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel, with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors.
