Virginia Scholl

Virginia Davis Scholl, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday morning, March 19, 2017. She was born in Decherd, Tenn., on January 5, 1934. She graduated in 1952 from Central High School in McMinnville, Tennessee and later moved to Chattanooga, where she studied nutrition at the University of Chattanooga. She was a faithful member of the White Oak Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Garrison Davis and Narcissa Jane Davis; her husband, of 53 years, Jack Arlington Scholl; son, Jack Phillip Scholl; and grandchild, Elizabeth Paige Parker. Survivors include her sister, Jimmie Faye Dockery; daughters, Jacqueline (David) Parker, Elizabeth “Libby” (Rick) King; a son, Clay (Connie) Scholl; grandchildren, Jonathan (Adrienne) Parker, Rachel (Rob) Parker Hatchett, Claire (Tyler) Watson Frazier, Trey Watson, Jordan Scholl, and Kirsten Scholl; great-grandchildren, Kayden Lucas Watson and Christian Jack Parker; nieces, Leslie Dockery Hamrick, Linda (Thomas) McAlpine, and Bobbie (Doyle) Pryor. Visitation will be at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hwy 153, on Thursday March 23, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, March 24, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. on Friday, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home chapel, with Minister Rick Owens officiating. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
