Bob Bohanon

CHICKAMAUGA — Bob Frank “Bo” Bohanon, 95, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, March 24, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and a member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #217. Bo was the owner/operator of Bohanon’s Grocery and Circle B Angus in Chickamauga and served the Chickamauga Community as Justice of the Peace for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, who will be greatly missed. Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Frank and Olah Hixon Bohanon and siblings, Doris Bryant, Fred Bohanon, Felix Bohanon, Don Bohanon and Jerry Bohanon. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Eula Bohanon; daughters, Ellen (Roland) Bohannon and Jeanne (Richard) Scoggins, all of Chickamauga; grandchildren, Chuck Bohannon, Leigh-Ann Guthrie, Trevor Scoggins, Elaine Kirkland, Betsy Sims and Amber Burns; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 26, 2017, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. David Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga.
