Lois Cawood

FLINTSTONE — Lois Marie Bowers Cawood, 90, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren along with her church family. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas and Mary Lou Bowers; husband, Jack Cawood; one brother, Richard Bowers. She is survived by her children, Tim (Margaret) Cawood, of Tunnel Hill, Cathy (Kelly) Maxwell, of Nashville, and Tom (Kathy) Cawood, of Hixson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; special niece, Charlotte Bowers Hardin; several other nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends today, May 21, 2017, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Pastor Scott Simmons officiating. Interment will follow.
