Betty Crocker

ELLIJAY — Betty E. Crocker, 92, died Wednesday May 17, 2017. Betty was born Nov. 14, 1924, in Volusia County, Fla., the daughter of the late James Clarence and Mary Iona Hawke Chapman. She retired from AT&T, where she worked as an operator and she attended Harvest Missionary Church. Her husband, Randall Clarence Crocker; parents, James Clarence and Mary Iona Chapman; her sons, Randall Clarence Crocker, Jr., Richard Crocker and daughter-in-law, Shirley Crocker preceded her in death. Survivors include, her sons and daughters-in-law; Jim and Susan Crocker, of Chattanooga, Bill and Marietta Crocker, of Hixson; daughters and sons-in-law; Pat Lees, of Independence, La., Sherry Hudgins, of Ellijay, Ga., Nancy and Dennis Ingram, of Woodstock, Ga., Kathy Hendon,of Ellijay, Ga., Teresa and Donny Cantrell, of Ellijay, Ga.; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 4 p.m. from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Arnold and the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. The family will meet with friends from 3 p.m. until the service hour of 4 p.m., at the funeral home. Bernhardt funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
