Ida Hawkins

CHICKAMAUGA — Ida "Marty" Wade Hawkins, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017. She was of the Baptist faith. Ida loved working in her flower garden and attending craft fairs. She loved visiting with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Hawkins; son, Ralph Anthony Hawkins; parents, John Wade and Minnie Jacoups Wade; siblings, Grady Wade, Josephine Wade, Dr. Charles Wade, Evelyn Brown, Johnnie Ruth Tucker, and Bobbie Jean Broyles. She is survived by her daughters, Helen (Ronald) Hawkins Strickland and Rachel Hawkins, both of Ringgold; son, Robert (Stephanie) Baker Hawkins, of Mooresville, N.C.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Dana, Baker, and Ben; great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brittney, Allie and Brayden; and sister, Billie Sue Harper, of Valley Head, Ala. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 27, at 1 p.m. in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Eldridge officiating. Interment: Tuesday, May 30, at 11:30 a.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
