Deborah Chambers

LaFAYETTE — Deborah Sue Chambers, 62, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017. She was a member of the Harbor Lights Baptist Church for 21 years. Preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy “ Dot” Gribble Stapp. Survived by her husband of 43 years, Joe Chambers, of LaFayette; father, Rev. Oscar Stapp, of LaFayette; daughters, Lorrie (Paul) Herrell, of Ooltewah, Tenn., and Madesta Brown, of LaFayette; sister, Vickie (Travis) Thompson, of LaFayette; brother, Daniel (Brenda) Stapp, of Rock Spring; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral from the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Tuesday, May 30, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Powell officiating. Interment in Woodstation Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home today, May 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
