Carolyn Yeargan

DUNLAP — Martha Carolyn Higgins Yeargan, 81, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clarence William Yeargan; parents, Jim and Mattie Marrow Higgins; and two sisters. Carolyn's most cherished memory were with her children, Fonda Smith, Betty (Gary) Spangler, Annette (Kenneth) Cross, Gina (Bobby) Smith, Gabe (Angie) Yeargan, and Max (Rhonda) Yeargan; grandchildren, Kim Ash, Kendra Layne, Keya Trent, Caleb Yeargan, Brook Goforth, Hailey Raulston, Tre' Smith, Victoria Yeargan, and Kaden Yeargan; seven great-grandchildren; and survived by one sister, Elizabeth Roddy. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., CST Wednesday May 31, 2017, in the Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with Minister T.A. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson-Stewart Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. today.
