ROSSVILLE — Ilah Mae Miles, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017. She was born in Bellbrook, Ohio and had lived in Dayton, Ohio for many years. She had previously worked for Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Consolidated Freight Ways where she met her husband, and then moved to Rockwood, Tenn., in 1975 where she worked at Burlington Factory. They then moved to the East Ridge area in 1983 where she started working at Crown Transport and U.S. Express where she held multiple positions. She blessed many of her family members with quilts, blankets and many different homemade items which she loved doing. She was a truly loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her loving husband of more than 51 years, Chester Miles Sr.; children, Rochelle (Warren) Owens, Rhonda (Tim) Boyd, Randy McCain, Renee Younker, Todd (Melissa) Miles, Ruth (Joe) Davis, Chester (JoAnn) Miles Jr., Starla (Bob) Kushmaul and Robert (Vanessa) Miles; brother, Butch (Jeannie) Humble; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; best friend, Martha Hall and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. The family wants to extend their gratitude for everyone who has helped with her care, special thanks to Sue Beaty and Dr. Siobhan Duff for their love and compassion for her over the last several years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor Billy Christol officiating. Burial will be held at noon on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon until the time of service.
