Lai Sim Wong

Lai Sim Wong, 91, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Man Woon Leung and Fung Ng Leung and was preceded in death by her husband, Ngon Thick Wong. Lai was the owner/operator of Phillips Laundry in Chattanooga. She is survived by four children, Mary (Andrew) Chung, Pearl Wong, both of Chattanooga, Tenn., Nelson (Marcetta) Wong, of Ooltewah, Tenn., Jimmy (Cheryl) Wong, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Marianne, Julianne, Karianne, Matthew, Dustin, Travis, Heather, Jeremy; seven great-grandchildren, June, Leah, Ansley, Riley, Tanner, Callie, Sophie; great-great-grandson, Elliot, brother, Kap Lung Leung, of Hong Kong; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Doug Plumlee officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
