Claude Mewborn

Claude J. Mewborn, 88, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017. He was a resident of Soddy-Daisy since 1976 and a deacon at South Soddy Baptist Church. Claude served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Wal-Mart from 1989 until March 2017. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Victoria and Clifford Mewborn; brother, Clifford Mewborn Jr. and sisters, Irene Taylor, Maebell Dockery and Daisy Vaughn. Survivors are his wife, Mary Jo Mewborn; daughter, Caroleen Mewborn; grandson, Zachary Mewborn; brother, Fred Mewborn and several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Al Kaschimer and Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton County Memorial Park.
