Martha Payne

Martha Diana Payne, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Payne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, growing plants, and playing with her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, R.L. Brooks and Viola Soloman; and siblings, O’dell Brooks, Roy Brooks, Bobbie Fraley, Mary Geer, and Gillian Kendrick. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Charles Payne; daughters, Debra (Danny) Hatcher, Tammy (Dean) Peters, and Angelia (Michael) Seabolt; siblings, Verna Miller, Billy (Betsy) Brooks, Jackie (JoAnn) Brooks, Linda Nalley, Robin Greyson, Janis Truman, Karen Johnson, Allison Verville, and Larry Allsobrooks; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and several special daughters also survive.
