Lois Crowe

Lois Kathleen Crowe passed away peacefully on Sept. 14, 2017. She was born on July 26, 1923, in Pittsburg, Ga., to Edith Cox Massey and Joseph William Massey. She moved to Chattanooga as a child and lived here the rest of her life. She graduated from Central High School and Edmundson School of Business. She worked for DuPont for over 35 years and retired in 1982. She was a Charter member of the Chattanooga Chapter of ABWA and held many offices throughout her years. She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church at the time of her death and was involved in Precept Ministries when Kay was writing the original studies. While Kathleen never had children, she was a mother to many and a great example of unselfish love and service to all and most importantly her niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marion Crowe; her three sisters, Janie Sue Massey, Helen Massey Ferguson, and Jo Ann Massey Liner. She is survived by her nephew, Scott Liner (Kathleen), of Oklahoma and her niece, Stephanie Liner Sanchez (Edmundo), of Texas; her great-nephew, Cameron Liner (Sarah), great-niece, Karlee Liner, and great-great-nephew, Nolan Liner, all of Oklahoma. She was buried in a private family service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services; 4506 Hixson Pike, 423-531-3975.
