Judy Cate

Judy Ann Cate, 70 of Chattanooga passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Opral and Edna Goodson Grissom. Judy was a retired school teacher. After her retirement she worked many years as a social worker at Orange Grove Center. Survivors include her son, Michael Mayfield Cate, II and his wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Michael M. Cate, III and Caroline Elizabeth Cate, all of Marietta, Ga.; aunts, Morene G. Kimball, Raleigh, N.C., and Elnora Goodson, Johnson City, TN; cousins, Cheryl Goodson, Brunswick, Ohio, Linda DuRant, Raleigh, N.C., Daniel Kimball, Kite, Ga., Stephen Goodson, Johnson City, Tenn. and Carolyn Snell, Chelsea, Ala. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Rd. A private family service will follow.
