Mrs. T. Grady Gallant

NASHVILLE — Mrs. T. Grady Gallant Jr. (Michael Anne), 92, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully of natural causes at home among family on Oct 18, 2017. Mike was born in Roundup, Mont., in 1925, was graduated from Hollywood High and attended the University of South Carolina. She was married to Grady after his return from active service in the 1st Division Fleet Marine Force in the South Pacific at Guadalcanal, and later Iwo Jima. Mike worked as a Librarian at the Chattanooga Public Library for many years and finished her library career in the Metro Nashville Library System in 1997. She had three children, Lacy Campbell-Orde (John Campbell, deceased), of Fairview, Tenn., Thomas Grady Gallant III (Leah), of Signal Mountain, and C. Scott Ralls Gallant (Karen), of Salem, Ore. Mike lived a long and loving life with Grady for 60 years. She enjoyed watching her three children, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild grow-up. She really enjoyed animals, Really! A private family graveside service will be held in Gadsden, Ala.
