Lottie Douglas

BRYANT — Julie Lottie Bell Douglas, 78, died Thursday at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., after a short battle with cancer. She was a member of Straightway Baptist Church in Bryant. Lottie was truly blessed. She was born on Sept. 29, 1939, and departed this life on Oct. 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles Douglas; father and mother, Guy and Virgie Townson; three brothers, Kenneth (Martilla), Royce Ray (Ruth), and Freeman (Betty – also deceased), and a sister, Reba (Clement) Manson. To cherish her memory, Lottie leaves behind one daughter, Kathy Douglas, two grandchildren, Justin “Pug” (Jacqualine) Lloyd, and Erica “Tooter” (Daniel) Arnold; and five grandchildren, Marleigh and Taylor Lloyd and Korbin Reed, Karter, and Karlee Arnold; four sisters, Elva Townson, Mavis (Wes) Kennemore, Betty Cloud, Judy (Tim) Knight; and two brothers, Jimmie and Jerry (Vicky) Townson; sister-in-law, Pauline Osment; brothers-in-law, W. L. and Jerry (Rita) Douglas; multiple nieces and nephews along with a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. EDT at the Bryant location of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Gary Bone officiating. Pallbearers will be Germi Cloud, Wesley Duane Crow, Japeth Randolph, Malcome Kennemore, Chris Floyd, and Darryl Townson. Burial will follow in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. EDT; Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. EDT.
