Nat Taylor

JASPER — Nathanael "Nat" Taylor, 90, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017. He was born in Butler, Tenn., and raised in Milligan College, Tenn. Nat graduated from ETSU. He enjoyed a long career with TVA as an electrical engineer. He enjoyed 30 years of retirement and was known for his legendary jokes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Fannie Taylor; sister, Emily Heysham. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Faye Taylor; daughter, Shan (Dr. Peter) Grout; niece, Emily Shaffer. Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. CST at the Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg, Tenn. Funeral service will be conducted at the Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg, TN at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, with Pastor Kim Hobby officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens with Full military honors presented by The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg, TN. Arrangements by Tate Funeral Home LLC, Jasper, TN.
