Elinor Lamborn

LaFAYETTE — Elinor Cole Lamborn, 86, a resident of LaFayette since 1960, passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at the Bridge Assisted Living in Ooltewah. She was a graduate of the Girls Preparatory School and the University of Chattanooga. Elinor was a member of the LaFayette Presbyterian Church, a longtime member of the LaFayette Woman’s Club where she served a term as president, and a member of the Brainerd Women’s Golf Association. She loved watching and feeding birds. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bob Lamborn, of Ooltewah, Tenn.; son, Rob (Amy) Lamborn, of Sewanee, Tenn.; granddaughter, Caroline Lamborn; brother, James B. (Peggy) Cole Jr., of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, in the Fellowship Hall of the LaFayette Presbyterian Church with the service to follow at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary with Rev. Cathy Meyer and Rev. Ken Waddell officiating. Interment in LaFayette City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LaFayette Presbyterian Church, 107 N. Main Street, LaFayette, Ga. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
